Good holiday weather doesn’t have to be all about the beach. Here are my Top 3 Holiday Monday Funday spots.
- My fam loves to bike around town. We like the North County Trailway because it’s paved and can be less crowded than other paths. Park near the Tarrytown/Elmsford border and head north for a picturesque roll. Strollers, scooters, training wheels too! Post-bike refueling can be had at Main Street Sweets in Tarrytown. Selling takeout milkshakes, half pints and pints from 1-7p!
- We all know Ithaca is gorges but so is Croton Gorge Park in Croton-on-Hudson. Picnic, stroll, and frolic in the small playground. On your way up, stop at First Village Coffee in Ossining for a curbside pickup of delish java and croissants open 8a-2p.
- Feeling like a longer drive so the kids can nap? Beacon with a capital B. You can meander along the Hudson at beautiful Long Dock Park and soak in the positivity. Hungry? Pull up to the Beacon Daily for takeout brekkies, sandwiches and a kids’ menu. Soooo good. Not kidding. Open today 10a-6p.
